Severance S2 E6 - Attila

We break down everything that happened in Severance S2 E6—and it was A LOT! Plus, some of our favorite fan theories that we think could be totally legit.

WHAT WE KNOW FROM EPISODE 6:

1. Mark and Reghabi discuss his vision of Gemma as he continues his reintegration journey. Back at work, Dylan informs Mark and Helly about his discovery of Irving's instructions to reach the Exports Hall. Meanwhile, Milchick takes the rest of the day off to address the infractions noted in his performance review, leaving Miss Huang in charge. 
   
   1. Dylan saying “you don’t know everything”
   2. We learn Ms. Huang is doing a fellowship for something called “Wintertide”
   3. THEORY - Patricklawler on Threads theorizes that Miss Huang is the daughter of the Senator and Gabby Arteta (who Devon mentions this episode) - hence her sense of entitlement and “power” in the Milchick dynamic
   4. Milchik works on his paperclipk skills
   5. Later in the episode - Milchick works on dumbing down his language in a tiny mirror, which turns into him saying “Grow up” and then just “Grow” over and over.
2. Mark confesses to Helly that he and Helena had sex during the ORTBO. Feeling that Helena stole this experience from her, Helly decides she wants to create her own memory and she and Mark get intimate in an empty office space.
   
   1. “Helly, we shared vessels”
   2. Helly is angry at Helena - “She dresses me in the morning like I’m a baby. She controls me, and this company, and all of us. It’s disgusting.”
   3. Awkward plastic floor sex commences
   4. Mark gets a bloody nose and suddenly he’s back in the basement with Reghabi, and learns it was a crossover memory
   5. Reghabi asks if he remembers a black hallway
3. In the Outie Visitation Suite, Gretchen visits Dylan once again, and they share a kiss. She then lies to Outie Dylan about her visit to Lumon. 
   
   1. We learn oDylan has tried scuba diving, woodworking, garage beer making
   2. Dylan remarks how he wishes they could really be together. “You and him are, but I’m not”
   3. Makeout montage!
   4. oDylan & Gretchen’s life is depressy. Dylan’s trying to convince her to let him go buy a car?
4. Irving visits Burt's house for the ham dinner, where a very awkward conversation unfolds with Burt and his husband, Fields. During Irving's absence, Mr. Drummond breaks into his apartment and discovers Irving's directory of Lumon employees. 
   
   1. Fields weird
   2. Burt reveals he joined Lumon for religious reasons - so his innie could go to heaven to be with Fields, because he was a “scoundrel” in his younger days
   3. They call each other “Attila” like the Hun
   4. Fields lets slip that he remembers having drinks with Burt’s “Lumon partner” 20 years ago? - First severed office opened 12 years ago - Irving says
   5. Fields says innies deserve to experience love - “and I hope it was beautiful”
   6. Burt hints he wants to see Irv again (without Fields)
   7. Burt BAD!!!!!!!!!!!
   8. Mr. Drummond finds Irv’s secret box with the severed employee list
5. Reghabi informs Mark that they need to accelerate the reintegration process by flooding the chip in his head, despite the risk of hemorrhage. Mark angrily storms off and later visits a restaurant, where he encounters Helena.
   
   1. Mark is HUNGEE!
   2. Helena is a creeeeeeep - WTH. Her flirting is so cringe.
   3. Apologizes for OTC - “I’m like the head of the company, Mark”
   4. Says he’d be the first guy she brought home to dad - “I think it’s finally time”
   5. Brings up losing his wife - “HANNAH” - bruh
   6. Mark realizes he shouldn’t be flirting with his dead wife’s death faker
   7. Has a moment where he sees Helly R?
   8. Why is she doing this???
   9. Zufu means grandfather in Chinese. Only Fu was lit up, which means father.
6. Mark leaves the encounter with Helena shaken up and decides to proceed with the reintegration process. Reghabi performs the procedure on Mark. Just as the operation concludes, Devon arrives unexpectedly. Devon asks how the corporate espionage is going, but Mark tells her he’s handling it himself. As they’re discussing, Mark passes out.
   
   1. Mark shows hole!!!!
   2. Why isn’t he telling Devon?
   3. Can’t pick up his water glass, flashes of Gemma
   4. Also - Devon reveals she’s a bi queen? We love her even more.
