The White Lotus S3 E5 - Full-Moon Party

Lots happened this week—let's chat about it! We revisit our list of suspects at the full-moon party and in Bangkok where Rick gets a chance to practice active listening.

THE SUSPECTS + WHAT WE KNOW FROM EPISODE 5:

1. The Girls Trip (Kate, Laurie, Jaclyn)
   
   1. The ladies daaaaance! Jaclyn is loving being watched
   2. Party continues back at the resort (Kate the only reasonable one)
   3. Laurie is so goofy wasted lmao
   4. Jaclyn invites Valantin back after everyone leaves! Little competition??
2. The Staff (Belinda, Pornchai, Gaitok, Mook, Fabian, Valantin, Sritala, Jim, Amrita)
   
   1. Gaitok looks at security footage and discovers that Tim took his gun, then goes to find him (kinda)
   2. Belinda tells Fabian about Gary/Greg, and Fabian is so unhelpful. “I think you’ll survive”
   3. Belinda also tells Pornchai about Gary, and we discover the source of the sounds: a lizard
   4. They KISS!
3. The Outlaws (Chelsea, Rick, Chloe, Greg/Gary)
   
   1. Rick in Bangkok, meets up with old friend. What a wackadoodle backstory 🤪
   2. Friend brought Rick a gun. Rick staying in a fancy ass suite
   3. Chelsea has a bad feeling about what’s going on with Rick
   4. Saxon is going after Chelsea, Chloe is going after Lochlan
   5. The group does ecstasy (fans saying Lochlan spits his out)
   6. Brothers kiss!
   7. Lochlan also says “I’m going to take you down one day” to Saxxon
4. The Ratliffs (Timothy, Victoria, Saxon, Piper, Lochlan)
   
   1. Piper breaks news to parents: no thesis, moving to Thailand. Victoria: “But you’re not a Buddhist. Honey, you’re not from China.” “You want to live in Taiwan?!”
   2. Timothy writes a suicide note and pulls the trigger, but there’s no bullet
   3. He’s discovered by Victoria and she says he’s not acting like himself
   4. “Do you understand the expectations?” - Tim
   5. “There’s no reason to be stressed, Tim. You’ve already succeeded in every way.” - Victoria
   6. Tim prays to god to tell him what to do (final scene)
